MEET THE PHOTOGRAPHER!
My name is Daniel, and this is Notch 8 Photography.
When I chose the title, "Notch 8 Photography" for my Instagram page in January 2021, my college roommate asked me what it meant. "Notch 8" refers to maximum effort or full throttle on a diesel locomotive. As a creative photographer, avid railfan and chronic perfectionist, it resonated with my passion and work ethic.
Although my main focus is unique and historic trains, I've expanded my horizons to include other modes of transportation (i.e. old cars and boats). Scenic landscapes, mostly from the Jersey Shore, have also been my point of interest. My goal is to use my creative eye to capture stunning images for mass media. I have already appeared in online and print issues of "Steel Highway: Magazine For The Modern Railfan" and "Railfan & Railroad Magazine." An antique dealer has also requested my print work to be sold at his two stores.
I welcome any opportunities to attend photo sessions, publish my work and explore new subjects as I continue my endeavors. Thank you for your interest in Notch 8 Photography!
